Advait
Advait is a cutting-edge accelerator program dedicated to fostering innovation in the defence and strategic technology sector. It is an initiative by IDSR (Institute for Defence Studies and Research) in collaboration with India Accelerator, one of India’s leading startup ecosystem enablers. Advait aims to catalyse the growth of early-stage and emerging startups working on solutions that can enhance national security, defence capabilities, and strategic infrastructure.
The program is designed to support startups building dual-use technologies with defense applications, including but not limited to unmanned systems, AI/ML, cyber defense, surveillance systems, advanced materials, and secure communications. Through expert mentorship, access to funding, government and military networks, and infrastructure support, Advait creates a robust pathway for technology validation and deployment in real-world defense scenarios.
Advait also plays a strategic role in aligning private innovation with national priorities under initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India. By bridging the gap between startups and defense stakeholders such as DRDO, the Armed Forces, and industry leaders, the program is enabling a new generation of deep-tech innovators to contribute to India's self-reliance in critical technologies.
